Shahnawaz Halal Tandoori: Experience Authentic Pakistani-Indian Cuisine

Very good Pakistani restaurant. We got there right when opened at 11:30am. Some customers picked up there takeout. It was a Saturday and they did not have not buffet. The tandoori chicken was tasty and not dry and pretty good. The Naheri beef stew was spicy and meat soft and melted in our mouths. The garlic was so good we could not stop eating it. The owner came by to check on us and told us the history of the restaurant. Would come back again.

One of The best Pakistani / Indian restaurants in Orange County. Their Sunday Buffet is a must try. Great food. Great teat. It is little crowded in weekends. But overall great place.

I think this place gets a lot of unnecessary hate. It's not here to impress you with ambiance, nor song choice, nor functionality. It's here to hit you on Sundays with a massive food selection, free-flowing soft drinks / mango lassi, and fresh kebabs + beef ribs right off the charcoal grill and onto your plate. At $30 ($35 after tip because don't be mean), this place packs extreme value, and has over 20 dishes. Standouts include the BBQ ribs, the CTM, the Saag Paneer, and salad section. I would definitely recommend, and cannot wait to come back.

The food was so delicious! I love the grilled options that are being freshly made in the back on the grill! The dessert is so delicious too and a perfect way to wrap up the meal! The staff is very sweet as well and will do anything they can to help your experience be a 5 star always!

Shahnawaz is the best Indian and Pakistani restaurant in the world. It is 5+ stars for the food and the staff are amazing and nice. I really recommend everyone to try this out especially if you are looking for great Indian and Pakistani food. Every time I come to LA I enjoy coming here for Lunch and/ or Dinner. The buffet is amazing and the ribs are the best ribs I have ever had in my life. This is much better than a 5 star rated restaurant. Some people say this place is bad but I do not know what they are talking about. This is not a bad restaurant, this is a great restaurant.

Updated review on 01/22/25:: We had an Awesome new experience for Nehari buffet night on Wednesday. Each adult is $25. They serves several kinds of Neharis (check my pic & video) with rice & plain naan. Nothing can beat this price for all you can eat Nehari with naan. The servers are also awesome and kept coming to our table to take away the used plates. As usual good tasty food with a decent price & awesome service!

Food was delicious and flavorful. Loved the kabobs and tandoori. Beef Biryani was okay too.

Depends who you talk to eat here or not eat here So we went for lunch on Sunday and they had a buffet going on 25 dollars per person The place is crowded not because of people but very unorganized and one third of the place was I guess under construction or something It was hot in there I mean hot. Now the food From there salad to sweet dishes Salad humm three star Fish and chips 4.5 ( they cut the pieces too small not the chips people the fish LOL) Tandoori Roti 5 stars Beef nehari 5 Stars (Awesome taste) Lamb something 5 Stars (Not bad except oily) Chicken tandoori 2 stars ( Not cooked properly. I guess they get busy and have to fill the bucket more from the kitchen in a given time) Lamb Payah 4 stars (Payah needs less water in it) Haleem how did I miss it Dad liked it but I avoided it At least four or five vegetarian dishes and I did not taste them me being carnivores. Sweet dishes are ok I guess they pulled dishes out of fridge and did not warm them ENOUGH and just put it to serve. Mango lassi was ok Tea is also served and all other fountain drinks. I liked my food because I pick and chose very carefully Ooh rice biryani I avoided that and the white rice had a little bit but rather stay with the roti The price seems to be a bit high for a buffet but of one will go to any Chinese or all you can eat buffet you may pay almost the same or less not sure have to find that out Ohhhhh the barbecue out side they can work on that just by looking at it it seemed to be ok Will I eat here again Yes sure for Nihari, Lamb and Roti I have missed a lot of dishes but the pictures are for all the dishes they had that day
